Review on πŸ“š Modern 5-Tier Ladder Bookshelf Organizer - White | Solid Rubberwood Frame | Amazon Basics by Melissa Parker

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I don't know how it got so many good reviews

First off, I have almost 20 years of furniture assembly experience. I have designed and built my own furniture and have collected dozens of pieces of furniture from Revain, IKEA, Ashley Home Furniture, Target/Walmart, etc. This is by far the worst shelf I have ever bought. Stars because it's cute and arrived on time and so on. Nothing more because it is extremely difficult to assemble. The screws don't go in the holes they should fit. Tightening the screws took a lot of effort, which is to be expected when you use regular screws and have access to a motorized screwdriver, but it's a sign of poor quality when you should be able to assemble the part with a hex wrench. I ended up having to use a ratchet screwdriver to provide extra strength as I twisted the sections together. The holes don't seem to be drilled properly either. Parts that use pins to stabilize connections will still wobble even when the screw is fully tightened because the pins are in the wrong position. The instructions are pretty terrible too. Some of the steps seemed out of order. The earlier steps make accessing areas later in the process more difficult, and there's really no reason these later steps couldn't be done earlier in the process. The part itself is cheap, but I'm still not sure if it was worth it. Save yourself time and nerves and choose another option.

Cons
