Review on Norpro Whistling Teakettle Mirrored Stainless by Megan Lucas

This is the second time I have purchased this Norpro kettle. It is excellent for preparing a large number of hot drinks at the same time! However, I was very disappointed that the teapot that arrived for the second time was not exactly like the picture or exactly like my first teapot. My first Norpro kettle had a nick on the removable spout cover. After putting the spout cover on the spout opening, you need to click the cover in. This second teapot has more rounded lines in the overall design. It has no cutout in the spout cover. So a couple of times (during this 1 year ownership) I "blew off" the cover of the 2nd kettle spout when the water pressure in it was too high. No spout cover = no pipe. This defeats the purpose of buying a whistling kettle. I gave my first teapot to my sister because she admired it, so now I'm clinging to this new one, which isn't nearly as good.
