Review on Canson Artist Watercolor Side Wire by Keith Norred

I've kept trying to love this paper but it just lets the colors pop easily. I have sooooo many brands of watercolor paper from student to professional. It is by far the most difficult to edit in my drawing style. However, the lifting problem is the most serious. Even after leaving the painting overnight to finish it the next day. A light tap with a nearly dry brush lifted the color from the previous layers to the white of the paper. All I could do was smear, and even then it was difficult not to disturb the base color. Even strongly staining colors did this. Maybe it was a bad batch, got too many sizes or something, but I won't be buying these again.
