Every ESD wrist strap must be grounded, with no exceptions (unless you are on a boat or on an airplane). These "wireless" electrostatic devices do nothing to protect the circuit. Worse, real ESD wristbands have a current-limiting resistor in series with you and ground to prevent serious electrocution. I am very disappointed that anyone is talking about these dangerous things. not bought, but there are circumstances when using them instead of real anti-static straps can kill a person. I've bought a lot of stuff from uxcell and to be honest I'm very angry about it.
