Worked great after changing the gearbox.
The metal gear does not go well with my mower. The teeth were too bulky and got stuck causing the mower to stall on start. I replaced the gear with a standard plastic gear and everything works. It was one of the cheapest appetizers I could find and only took me 10 minutes to change gears. Glad I have one left.
