If you don't want to bind your phone to the GPS but still want to get traffic and weather data, this is for you. I prefer this HD receiver cable to the "normal" receiver cable. It really couldn't be easier to use. I first registered the new GPS and this cable on my.garmin.com and updated the GPS software using the Garmin Express software. Took the GPS and this cable out of the car, plugged it in and worked perfectly with no further setup. Shit, buyers have to buy it separately, and it's not included with the GPS, so 4* not 5*.
