The length at the butt seems a bit longer than the front and it's perfect YES they are short but nothing dangles I bought them in all the colors Just a note - I originally bought the 4 inch and personally I prefer these 2, The 5 inches was MUCH more flattering a little stiffer. Although the socks stretched after a day. The 4" look unkempt at the front, ok at the back. If you're in between, choose the 2.5" instead of the 4"!
