Review on ๐ŸŒŠ Honeywell 50027998-002: High-Quality Water Level Sensor for True Steam Humidifiers" by David Crowder

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Interesting approach to renovation.

Like many others, I have had this humidifier for about 5 years now and it is a device that requires special care. But it works fine. Yes, next year I'll have to deal with aging cracking plastic caps and tanks, but this time my problem was the same old "overflow" error problem I've had in the past. The previous replacement of the level sensor solved the problem three times, but this time not for the first time. I did a lot of tinkering until I examined the device in the dark with a flashlight right after the reset reboot. To my surprise, "steam ventsโ€ appeared around the temperature sensor, as well as near the side latches of the aging tank. This time I replaced the gaskets under the temp sensor and screwed everything in with a torx screw where I didn't see any steam and popped off the top cap. Reset and everything has been working fine ever since. I concluded that the accumulated vapor in the control area was affecting the sensor connector and circuitry, causing an overflow error to be displayed. It has been working perfectly for three days. Fingers crossed. I'm not sure how much a new tank (which will hopefully have its own new gasket) and cap will cost, but that's next year. Kind regards
