Love this fan! Has remote control, 4 speeds, temperature control. Fairly quiet and closes back when off so air doesn't get in. It's not like traditional double bladed window fans. It works like 1. It's either inlet or outlet. When it's off, it helps get rid of most of the noise. Almost like closing a window. Definitely recommend this product. Especially if you are disabled (like me) and cannot get up to close the window due to rain, snow etc. This seal closes fairly well and is very quiet. Pretty slick look. All you see are vents, no blades, internals, or wires. Keeps the sunlight out of my east facing living room so the sun bakes the room for most of the day. No longer. This really helps to save on air conditioning. This is a huge energy saving. Traditional window fans don't keep the heat where it should be, this fan keeps the daytime heat out very well due to its design. In the summer, with a conventional window fan, the temperature in the room rose to 76°C when the air conditioning was on, so the fan had to be turned on every hot day. Not now, in fact this fan works so well that my AC doesn't turn on as often. My house is cool now, the fan is running. Nobody can see inside. It's like the blinds are blocking the view so you can always maintain your privacy. It is slightly longer than a normal window fan and lets more air through. Works well. The board is small and simple. Vornado seems to be of really good quality. UPDATE: Hottest day ever, 95°, fan running low and AC still working great. It actually reached the set temperature and turned itself off. I was stunned it's so effective. As an alternative place to get this fan, try Home Depot, Target, Lows, etc. You must check these places daily. Sold out quickly.
