I've been using fabric straps, mostly from Bed Bath, for about 6 years now and they pretty much suck. They are very difficult to put on, really hurt your fingers when wrestling and stretch easily. On the other hand, these straps close very quickly and very easily. No fiddling or finger injuries, just a few clicks and my sheet stays securely in place for as long as I want before changing sheets. I use them all over my double bed.
