NOT fully compatible with Skype/Teams. No more than ten dollars.

Ugh. where to start I believe: Indeed, this headset is rubbish. Otherwise, we'll start with Teams/Skype for Business. Since April 2020 I have been working from home in an organization with around 40,000 employees. Since I started working there in November 2019, Skype for Business calls have been a regular occurrence as my team is spread across multiple states. When I started I got a pretty basic Plantronics headset and it was great until it broke. a few weeks ago. Since it takes a while for a new headset to be released internally, I hopped over to Revain specifically looking for headsets that work with Teams (we're moving from Skype to Teams) - knowing I could deliver something within a matter of days can . Now I feel like this company found the perfect legal language for their product description on Revain. It says it can be used with Teams, which is technically correct. But the headset isn't really compatible with Teams or Skype. The built-in mute button works from a real hardware perspective, but has absolutely no effect on mute/unmute status in Teams or Skype. The call button does absolutely nothing. But the light keeps flashing, which is very annoying. Pros: The volume buttons interact correctly with your actual Windows volume when the headset is set as the default audio device. Otherwise: -- The speaker emits sound. passable -- BUT: several colleagues have told me that when I speak, I sound like I'm "in a tunnel" or "far away" -- AND: randomly when I'm talking to people on Skype/ Teams calls, can't hear this at all --I: I was talking to a Webex salesperson this morning and no one could hear me -- I needed Webex to ring my phone and talk to someone. Conclusion: Ads appear legitimate but are misleading. I'll probably keep this thing as a backup, but for that purpose I'd advise anyone to just run to the nearest Wal-Mart and snag whatever cheap option they have on hand.
