Deeply upset about this. just looked at some reviews and missed it, but as everyone says it doesn't heat up the case. The pad's own temperature works well, but the internal temperature (relative to a small 12-gallon tank!) didn't rise at all for me. I didn't remove the glue (I used aluminum tape because I was planning on changing tanks soon anyway) but since I bought it a few months ago and my tank is very new I missed the return window. It's a waste of money and if you get a snake like me just skip it.
