Easy to install, like new.

I don't know why my first one broke but it pushed itself and was always open. So I bought this one to replace and the instructions were good and clear on how to do it. One thing that makes this easier is some pointed-ended pliers that you can put in the holes of the half-round pins to be able to open and close them, and I'm sure there's a dedicated pair of pliers for that too that would be better . Now my ladder is no longer in danger of killing me for using it for too long and only working on one side before deciding to fix it. Good price for security.
