Will not work on serious cat fur rugs

I bought this because we have a long haired cat that has had multiple rugs. We wanted to keep them as clean as possible. Tried this product, rubbed it into the mats and tried the special mat removal tool 2 times. Vain. We ended up just shaving off the mats. The product smells nice and if you catch the haze early enough it might work. But if you're already past that stage, I would suggest watching some YouTube videos or talking to your vet. Note: Never use scissors near your cat's skin. Their skin is very fragile and a cut can cause serious problems.
