I used to have glass tank heaters and yes, one day I broke down and electrocuted everyone in the tank. I thought of this when I was looking for a heater for my new aquariums. I saw that this one has a coated metal tube so breaking shouldn't be a problem. I bought 2 and both installed, each is capable of heating the tank so if one fails the tank temperature is maintained. They are very easy to use, there is a small dial at the top, just turn it to the desired temperature. I found them correct. There's also a visible area to see if they're working, it's visible but dark. That's great, no big neon light is going to wake me (or the fish). The numbers are very small so set the temp BEFORE CONNECTING THE CONNECTOR, NEVER USE UNLESS IT IS SUBMERSIBLE (ALSO NEVER KEEP IT SUBMERGED IF IT WORKS). Suction cups are ordinary, nothing special to say. They give you 1 extra in case you need it. I smear a very small amount of olive oil (less than a drop) on the cups to prime them and help them stick. It looks like it worked. I hope you find it useful. Oh yeah . If you need an aquarium heater, I RECOMMEND IT!
