The only cabin air filter with HEPA level filtration

I value clean air, especially when I spend so much time stuck in traffic on smoky Southern California freeways. In the last month I've bought some air filters for my car, a friend's car and air purifiers for my home. This filter caught my attention because unlike home air purifiers, which have a HEPA (High Efficiency Particle Capture) standard that captures 99.97% of particles 0.03 microns or larger, cabin air filters don't indicate the degree of filtration. This filter is HEPA compliant and I'm pretty sure it's the only one when it comes to cabin air filters. It's the tiny particles you can't see that are said to be the most harmful to your lungs/health. I bought this for my girlfriend's 2013 Toyota Prius Persona and it was the perfect fit. Immediately after installing the filter, I pressed the quick air cleaning button in the car, and my nose quickly cleared after breathing in fresh, purified air. More pleats and more filter material make it heavier than the standard Toyota filter. This also means it lasts longer as there is more media to capture and hold particles. There are 3 layers of material as opposed to 1 homogeneous fibrous material on most other filters. And compared to the standard Toyota filter, the air appears cleaner compared to the air quality immediately after installing an OEM cabin filter in the past. It would be nice to see a HEPA activated carbon filter. I hope Bosch reads these reviews. If you're looking for the best filter for the money then you've come to the right place.

Pros
  • Cabin filters should be replaced at least every 12 months (or every 12,000 miles)
Cons
  • Seller communication
