I replaced the composite pedals on my 20 year old Trek hybrid bike. I immediately felt the difference on the first ride. The structure gave it a larger foot area and the short grip studs provided a really secure feel for my shoes, no slipping around like my old pedals. Built-in reflectors on front and rear faces. The blue anodized aluminum is an attractive styling cue too. I will be buying a pair for my wife’s bike. I should have replaced mine sooner.I had to use a long pedal wrench and solvent to get old ones loose. The new pedals (marked left and right) are secured using a metric Allen wrench. Very easy replacement.
