I had to get rid of the super cheap batteries that came with the scales immediately. They were dead. Then when I put my own batteries on the scale, I put them in the wrong way because it was impossible to tell where the plus and minus were from the weird batteries I had removed. I've been doing this for 5 years. I checked the scale's accuracy with a pound of ground turkey, and it was 1/2 an ounce less than the weight. My old scale was absolutely perfect. I'll be using them for a while and see if I get used to it by adding a little more meat to my portions, but have a feeling I'll look into other scales in the near future. It is easy to read, compact and easy to use.
