I have an awning so it's hard to see under the dark cave in the back of my truck during the day. It is very dark there at night. They are light, unobtrusively installed under the bed rails and do not interfere with the bin or other loads. I installed the switch directly in the tailgate and applied battery power. You will need a bit more wire for a full size 4 door to install this way. I also received a couple of clips to attach it. The light strips are self-adhesive and stick well, but only 4 clips are included. I have a bit of OCD from making things once and making them again so I ordered another pack of clips from Revain and put 4 on each side. I live in a hot sunny climate and heat builds up under the black body so I wanted to make sure they never came loose.
