I bought this smooth surface brush to sweep counter tops and tables quickly but be careful when running it over plastic or rubber the marked strands tend to get stuck on such surfaces be liable. So you end up with a bigger mess than what you started with. The shape of the brush works really well when cleaning a dirty fan, but once you run it through the fan's plastic cage the static is terrible and you can see it in all its glory on dark plastic (in the case of a fan) or dark rubber (for mouse pad XXL). It works reasonably well on wood or metal surfaces such as those found in workshops or garages, but is not intended as a feather duster. Period.
