Review on 🖊️ Adonit Pro 4 (Black) Luxury Capacitive Stylus Pen: Highly Sensitive Fine Point for iPad, Android, iPhone, and More by Jason Ortiz

I bought the Adonit Jot Pro for use with the iPad Air after being very disappointed with the reliability of some of the more expensive active styluses. I use this stylus exclusively for handwritten notes (Goodnotes <- great app). I don't draw. I don't use a stylus to navigate the general user interface. I am currently using a pen to take notes for an online linear algebra course. I have a Techarmor matte screen protector on my iPad Air. (That's a great screen protector, by the way. Highly recommended) I'm only saying this because I think my experience with adonit jot pro wouldn't have been as positive if I didn't have a screen protector. I have to constantly worry about turning it on and off. I didn't think it would make a huge difference but I appreciated the difference immediately after using the active stylus - you can see where you write behind the disc - this is obviously the main benefit of this product - for handwriting , it's much better than rubber-tipped or even mesh-tipped styluses. In fact, ALL are terrible for handwriting. Writes fairly smoothly - maybe not as good as an active stylus (when it's working), but you have a lot less drag on the screen (even with a matte screen protector) than with rubber-tipped pens - CONSISTENCY - which is why I'd recommend their other more expensive active pens . I've been using it for about a month and so far it's behaving about the same every time I use it. This is in stark contrast to the point pen I've used before, which was great 80% of the time and completely useless the other 20%. the comforts of my own home, but if you were in a quiet lecture hall would that be a problem? Any place with background noise and that shouldn't be a problem even if it's too small. The diameter is quite narrow, which is less comfortable during long writing sessions. Not bad, but it could be better. - Rollers - I solved this problem by wrapping a small rubber band around the clamp. Ugly, but now I have no problem with the pen rolling off the table. This will scratch your iPad's screen unless you a) thoroughly clean the screen and disc before each use, or b) use a screen protector. I'm not that clean so I choose B. Almost every time I've used this I've felt a few scratches (only one big scratch so far) and it doesn't bother me, but I've NOT used a bare screen. So far I haven't had any issues with disc tearing (I was very cautious after reading other reviews). I bought spares just in case, but haven't used them yet. In general I recommend the product. No iPad stylus is perfect (I've tried many), but this one is relatively affordable and gets the job done.
