I'm just starting to use aluminum extrusion. Actually, I'm more thinking about how I could use it in our van conversion. It's a great way of building things, but I've always been a wood person. Aluminum extrusion doesn't save money, especially when you look at these. There is nothing wrong with them, they even have a rounded end. But they aren't threaded and you don't have nuts and bolts. They are designed for a specific size rail, so you don't need the same bolt and nut. This set seems very expensive.
