First I have to say that thing is huge! In fact, you should pay attention to the characteristics next time. Not really a complaint, but compared to my other pump, this thing is almost twice the size. But for the size, the thing is almost silent. I have one outlet that connects to my artemia plant that is in my tank and the other outlet goes to a bubble rock on the other side of the tank. I can't hear the pump above the aero stones and the pump is right in front of me. FICTION! My other smaller pump makes almost three times the noise of the Aquaneat. The performance is great for my needs. Its 5W are adjustable. Even if you turn it all the way, almost dead silence. To anyone looking at this device, I say, don't be shy. If you are looking at any of these cheaper models I would suggest spending a few bucks more on this Aquaneat. It's worth not hearing that annoying air pump noise.
