Review on ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Corsair iCUE H150i Elite Capellix Liquid CPU Cooler: Enhancing Performance and Cooling Efficiency by Emmanuel Winschel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Basically perfect AIO inside

The positive is simple. The fans work well and move air well through the heatsink. The fans are not audible at normal temperatures, but they get a little louder than expected at full speed. I've heard better, of course, but it's not the end of the world. This thing is tied to the Ryzen 5900X, which is designed to push its limits. The H115i does its job well and keeps you cool. For the most part, Corsair came up with a great design for this all-in-one. Since it's designed to work with their fan hub, I want only one cable coming out of the pump to connect to the hub. Then a separate line from the hub to the pump and fan manifold. Only for detaching the cable from the pump as there is a main cable and then a control cable to connect to the pump head. It's not scary and it's pretty easy to hide the single wire, it could be better. The only real design issue is the mounting hardware for the AM4 connector. Loose-fitting square hooks for hanging in the butt mount. It would be nice if the hardware had some support on the AIO side to keep the metal from bending. The screw connections should only be hand-tightened, but even in this case they can be bent. It's just a little weak and not as strong as you think. This way you will never get the resistance when tightening that you may have become accustomed to when installing other coolers. This is after you've managed to attach both spinning hooks to the board. Considering there are two different backplates and Intel mounts, would it be much more expensive to have a multi-purpose backplate that might turn out to be a better mounting system? TL; DR. The bracket for AMD systems is a bit fiddly, but it works. The fans can be a bit noisy at full speed. However, the AIO works great and cools superbly. 8.5/10.
