I have a Chevy Silverado 02 5.3L. OEM coils are either square with bolt holes vertical to the engine or integral with clamp and spark plug wire attachment points. It is a cylindrical type and the screw hole arrangement is horizontal. Rotating the spool 90 degrees is useless for the following reasons: 1. The position of the screw holes does not match the screw holes in the motor. 2. Even if the screw holes match, the clamp wire is not long enough to attach to the coil in this configuration. Too bad I didn't look at my coils before ordering. Could have saved me the hassle! Also note that just because Revain says it will fit your vehicle and the seller says "must" in the Q&A, it may not fit!
