I've been using the small Hamilton Beach air purifier for years and although it has a permanent filter, not much. I've tried at least FIVE different ones, including replacement filters from Hamilton Beach when I can get them, but I LIKE THIS COMBINATION BEST FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS: FILTER/CHARCOAL FILTER COMBINATION - I love having them together. Keeps the filter MUCH cleaner and I have to change it less often. And the fact that there are TWO activated carbon filters for each filter. CLASS. FIT AND FILTER GOOD - You won't get a great filter without a perfect fit. I also like their quality and their work. If you're allergic, you can tell what works and what doesn't. PRICE - GREAT PRICE for what you get. They are NOT cheap in general. QUALITY - You don't always get what you pay for, but with them I felt like I was getting MORE than my money's worth. ONE AGAINST: As others have mentioned, THE MANUFACTURER. It's about which way he goes. YES, I know which side faces the inside of the air purifier, but how difficult would it be to add an ARROW? BELOW: I will continue to receive THIS if PRICE and/or QUALITY does not change.
