I know there is a way to use a (mm) socket with a socket extension shaft and use the truck's power steering to wed (back and forth between the hub bolts) the front hub bearings. Maybe so, but I didn't want to risk using the above method alone when my front bearing hub was rusted. What can I say, the tool is worth the money. With the help of an impact wrench diver (big boy) and help from the BFH, the task was not child's play. When the puller shaft is lubricated and the tool is rotated with an impact wrench until the puller shaft is mostly rotated, it is time to use the BFH. Just hit a little (or a lot) with the hammer and then use the impact wrench again, which can rotate about 1/4 turn or less by hitting more hits with the BFH hammer. When it comes time to remove the front bearing hub, you'll be delighted to find that the tool works. Hope that helps!
