First off, I didn't buy this to plug the instrument into an amp or headphones. As you can see in the picture, I use it to connect the Edutige ETM-001 to my computer via a TRS jack to jack. If I were sending an already amplified signal I'd probably notice a difference, but given the tiny signal level from the mic, the quality of the cable really wouldn't matter much. I went with this one because it's reputed to be strong, brittle, and all in all just a damn extra. I mean LOOK AT THIS IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL and the massive neck + adapter is perfect for use with a handheld mic. How is THICC doing? Approximately the same thickness as a 1/4" phone jack (see pictures). How fit? The square end doesn't really fit my phone (Galaxy S9+) with a case (? see photo) due to the large block and short spacer. The straight end fits perfectly as it has a longer riser than the right angled end. I have trouble connecting most cables to my phone because most of them don't even have a riser on the plug to reach it, so the fact that both ends fit makes a huge difference. sound quality? No worse than anything I own, so I can't deduct points for that. It is better? Possibly LIKELY, but since I don't use it to send sound directly to my ears on audiophile gear, it's almost impossible for ME to say. value for money? At $13.93 after the retail price of $14.66 and the additional 5% discount I PAID, this cable is amazing value. At the original price of $16.29 I'd say that's pretty much what you get. And you have to remember that this cable isn't just about the sound, it's also about the looks; You're not just buying high-end hardware, you're buying a designer accessory that looks amazing and sounds as good as anything else, IF NOT SO AMAZING (again, I really can't tell.) Unless you're looking for something more exterior however, the appearance of this cable can be more of a minus than a plus. Durability? This is the first of these cables I've ever bought and I've only had it for about a week so I don't have any anecdotes to share and tell about it. It definitely FEEL solid, I'd call it "essential" and very well protected as the cross section pics show. I would be afraid to run him over with a chair at the table, not for fear of the cable but for fear of being thrown off the chair if the cable stopped him in his tracks.
