We needed bar stools that would fit in the 8 inch overhang and not extend too far. Almost all of the stools we saw were about 16 to 20 inches deep. "deep and 15 wide". Their tops are completely flat with a beautiful satin finish. They can withstand up to 260# so are very durable. Each stool took about 10 minutes to assemble. Very easy to assemble and all hardware was of good quality. They could also be used as small end tables if you need a 26 inch height. Great value for quality bar stools that will last for years.
