Review on 10-Year Battery Talking Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm: FIRST ALERT BRK PRC710V - White by Victor Pinckney

I recently installed this in my living room/kitchen and was initially pleased. But just last night, within 2 months of purchase and installation, the smoke alarm started beeping constantly and saying "fault, fault, replace smoke alarm." I consulted the manual, and sure enough - it's clearly faulty , and now I have to completely replace the smoke alarm. NOT happy that something so important could be of such crappy quality - wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
