I bought two of these to test for a home automation project and used them simultaneously for several months. The price is very attractive and I wanted something with a large display. It's hard to get such cheap individual parts, let alone a boxed sensor unit. But are they reliable? Shortly after I set them up, one device worked for about a week and then "froze". I had to take the batteries out and put them back in to reset, and it will still run for a week or two. I finally contacted support for an RMA return and they asked me to confirm the batteries were good quality. One was Duracells, the other was a cheap generic store brand (completely unintentional, just what I had on hand) but I said it was fine, I confirmed the tension was perfect. So they let me return it for a replacement. But first, to please them, I switched the batteries between the devices - and WOW! Now the other block was having problems and the "broken" block was now working properly! Now that both devices are fitted with well-known brand batteries, I have had no more problems and keep a very close eye on them when logging data. I canceled the return. Tech info: I'm using this with a USB SDR receiver key on Linux running rtl_433. It works great and each device has a 4 digit ID plus A/B/C channels so you could theoretically run MANY of these if your software supports it. I think you will run out of 433MHz bandwidth at first. It updates every 16 seconds, which is more than twice as fast as other devices I've tried. And it repeats the data six times on each transmission to *really* ensure it's received sequentially, which is also more than twice as aggressive as other devices. I really have no complaints. Pros: - Low cost - Large display - Refreshes every 16 seconds (tested!) - Accuracy: My two devices side by side each stayed within 0.2 degrees and 1-2% humidity. different, again better than others I've tried. Cons: - I mean, it probably won't last forever, though.?
