Full extension with good value for money. You will need exactly 1 inch of extra clearance (1/2 on each side) from your drawers when mounting directly to cabinet walls. I attached the rails to the workshop cabinet walls before assembling the cabinets with great results. I installed all of the slides in the center of the drawers flush with the front of the drawer. I adjusted the rails about 3/16" from the front of the case to allow a little clearance from full insertion. I used a spreadsheet to calculate the location of the slides on the cabinet panels. My goal was to have 1/2 (1/4 would be good) inch clearance under the bottom drawer and 1/2 inch above the top drawer and 3/4 inch between the drawers. See table image. I can then make simple drawer fronts with a simple round perimeter cutter. I'm attaching a few photos so you can get an idea of my approach. Drawers can offer some resistance when initially installed, although they flatten out after you've pulled them in and out once. If the drawer is very difficult to pull out, check for possibly bent tabs to avoid damage during initial installation. After drawing the center lines of the foils, I used a guide as a template to drill the holes. Four to five screws were used on each metal plate and their position marked with a sharp pencil. I then pre-drilled a 3/8" depth controlled pilot hole for each screw. I used zinc Phillips head screws, 8x7/16. Hope this helps.
