Great book but the quality of the set is ok

I'm a big fan of Alicia Merret - she's a doll and toy maker and teacher from the UK. The book that comes with the set is excellent - although flimsy it has lots of details on how to transfer patterns, sew a doll, embroider or paint a face, make hair and clothes. The doll is a good size (18 inches) and patterns for a nice vintage dress, hair bow, boots, nightgown and cape. The book also has adorable pictures of some of the other dolls. The materials included in the kit were scant - calico for the doll, which is never as good as colored home-spun cloth or cotton,
