I enjoyed making this doll. Alicia Merrett's kit includes quality materials and instructions. The book includes full size patterns and many color illustrations of the doll making process. I would definitely recommend this kit for beginner rag doll makers. The only issue I had was with the pattern of the dress. The pattern pieces for the bodice were too small so I had to redo them. I'm a big fan of Alicia Merret - she's a doll and toy maker and teacher from the UK. The book that comes with the set is excellent - although flimsy it has lots of details on how to transfer patterns, sew a doll, embroider or paint a face, make hair and clothes.
