I have a 1974 Chevy C 20 pickup. I've seen people on YouTube having success with the product due to the head gasket leaking. Now I know it was to be used on 4 cylinder engines as directed but I took a chance with this product as my mechanic said it was a head gasket replacement. and we might as well replace both while he's at it. will cost somewhere around $1,500. I tried Blue Devil pour N go which cost me about $30 and hoped for the best. Since my head gasket on the left side of the engine allowed water to enter the combustion chambers, I didn't have to drain the radiator. I poured a whole bottle of Blue Devil Pour N Go into the radiator, added water, followed the directions and let the engine idle for about an hour. Then I took it 30 minutes, got home and parked it for about 3 hours. The reason for waiting 3 hours and restarting the truck was that if it was left idling for that time after using the truck before, restarting the truck after 3 hours would produce a lot of vapor from the exhaust pipe and the truck Begin. until the water in the combustion chambers burns out. The radiator level also dropped after using the truck for a day. Luckily the leak wasn't so severe that water got into the engine. So I'm happy to report that the Blue Devil has had an effect and I no longer have to put water in the radiator and deal with a puff of steam from the exhaust. I'm a happy customer.
