I have ordered these collars in different colors before and had no problems wearing them. You can tell that they are of high quality and I appreciate the longevity. With this recent purchase I received a size 15-17 sky blue collar for my 3 month old boxer puppy, the collar is free and the first tag the puppy can grow on. I hope this gives you an idea of what size you need. The collar is thick, the collar feels comfortable. I'm sure my dogs don't care what collar I buy them, but I know I like the way it looks on them. In some reviews I noticed that someone mentioned that the leashes don't work well with these collars, I used the appropriate leash with these collars and when I was in a hurry everything was fine. I'm not sure about other brands of linen. I mostly use harnesses with leashes. Harnesses will not choke your dogs.
