The best solution to convert the Standardbred from cart/buggy to saddle riding.
Standard breeds have larger tongues due to most horses, so they don't have much room for regular snaffles. Snaffle bits create a "nutcracker" effect due to the lack of space between the tongue and the bars. The Baucher French Link Bridle helped my horse relax and arch his neck. I would suggest a length of 5 1/2 inch 14mm for medium sized (14.2xx-15.2xx) standard breeds or other gaited breeds. Greetings and have fun riding!
