I've had this camera for a month now and have taken about 2500 pictures. I teach digital photography at a local college and have several cameras so I have a good basis for comparison. I mostly photograph nature and this camera behaves like it was made especially for me. Natural scenes require telephoto and macro, and this camera shines from two sides. Set it to super macro, it focuses to 1cm, that's less than 1/2 inch. This allowed me to capture the bee filling the frame. The 18x telephoto lens is crisp and sharp, great not only for birds in the distance but also for lizards at 2.5m. I bought a CLA-10 adapter and a 1.7 teleconverter so I can get a 27x telephoto lens and it's still clear. Image stabilization is good enough that I was able to hold the 27x zoom when needed. The current lack of RAW support in Adobe products is in development and a plugin is expected soon. If you are a nature shooter, you will love this camera. It's also perfect for candid street photography and is used by some fairly well-known photojournalists.
