First of all, this device comes with a data sheet which states that this is a commercial product intended for use outside the home. Good Good. So my husband drives a truck, which means he often has to clean his hands of grease and dirt. Are these towels suitable for this? Absolutely. They are durable and hold up very well. But the same goes for business towels. My husband took them on a trip and decided they weren't for him. Before I get into the details, I'd like to add that we've tried them for a number of other uses as well, including in the shed, garage, and even house cleaning. Well, as I said, they absorb well and are sturdy compared to paper towels, but they're actually no better or worse than most store-bought towels. The container leaves a lot to be desired. It's fairly cheaply made and so light that you can't pull the towels out unless you're holding onto it. This isn't a problem unless you're dealing with a mess that requires both hands and a light towel to clean up. If you try to pull out one of these towels with one hand, just shake the jar and nothing else will happen. Also, they don't come off individually as easily as stated on the product page. More than once I pulled out and ended up with 2 or 3 towels before the perforation finally ripped them off. Then we have value. I understand why they are for commercial use because I can't imagine spending the advertised price on them just for home use. However, I can't imagine a small company spending that much either. If it's broken, it's quite expensive, especially compared to similar products. Yes they work and they work well but the price is too high in my opinion.
