We needed to cover about 300 sq ft of walls with texture to match existing walls. Sponging texture on would have taken forever (days?). This hopper gun got it all done in a few minutes per section. Load the gun, spray it all over a given section, wait 5 minutes, knock it down, repeat on next section. Made covering a few new walls very easy and manageable. I have never used a hopper gun before and found this one pleasing to use. Cleanup was pretty easy as well. Didn't need instructions. Everything I needed to get it done was self-explanatory. Now I have a new tool available for doing handyman work. Probably won't use it again anytime soon, but knowledge of this economical tool opened a new world of possibilities. And as such, what I learned by doing this was that doing several layers of texture over each other creates a rich, intricate texture beyond normal, and gives me ideas for creative finishes in the future. Really happy with this purchase. This gun can be used to create a very luxurious looking finish that I didn't know was possible before.
