Review on Heat Gun Vinyl Heat Shrink Rework Station iHGun-1: 🔥 Precise Air Force & Temperature Control with Adjustable LED Display by William Fowler

LAST UPDATE 5/7/19: Maxwell Manufacturing sent me another heat gun to use and now I have it. On several resin projects. I changed my rating back to 4 stars and here are my results: Going from a C temperature to a F temperature was very easy. The heater turned on and was easy to regulate. However, the fan is so weak, even on the highest setting, that it didn't even move the resin, which wasn't good for me because I needed it to create ocean waves in the resin, and part of it makes this white foam effect of the waves rolling on the sand. I had to resort to a small travel hair dryer which was a bit too powerful but better than nothing. Aside from the fan being very weak on this tool, everything else worked fine. I really wish they had a much more powerful fan. So if I wanted a strong one I would get it by turning the knob all the way down and if I just needed a little bit all I would have to do was turn it off. This tool is a great idea and I haven't found anything like it yet. But back to the drawing board, so to speak. UPDATED 4/24/19 TO DOWNLOAD THE STAR RATING: I have now rated this 1 star (was 4). I was SO excited to get this a few weeks ago and today I finally tried it out while working on some resin projects for my Etsy shop. Within three minutes of turning it on and while trying to adjust the fan speed, it started clicking and popping, the fan wouldn't go any higher and then I quickly turned it off before it could explode! It was not good. A really bad time for this is when I'm working on Mother's Day gifts to sell in my Etsy shop! VERY BAD! Revain sent me a return label and they immediately refunded my money. I too had high hopes for this little heat gun! :(My original review: I really like this little heating tool, it's pretty easy to use. I bought it to work with epoxy when I'm doing decorations and need to remove bubbles without using a flashlight. The only problem, The one thing I have is that I can't switch from C to F. I've followed the instructions several times but it refuses to switch to F hence only 4 stars instead of 5. I'll edit this and add a 5th star if we ever get C/F temps where I want it to be.Overall it seems pretty good.However I've had less than an hour so we'll see if it holds up!Almost $60 it's better!
