Review on Nikon D5100 Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm VR Lens - High Resolution 16.2MP by Somsak Pasalae ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is at the highest level, be sure to try it.

I have no regrets about the purchase, the equipment is good. I bought in 2022 for 24 thousand. Subjectively, Canon in a similar price category thinks faster when focusing and photographing (the whale lens may be to blame, I haven’t tried it with another yet). I compared it with the Canon 600D, leaned towards Nikon, and was bribed by the "ringing" sharpness of the pictures. Canon pictures are noisy with color noise even at low ISO, compared with whale lenses. However, I would not regret buying a Canon either. Pictures taken in auto mode are dark. It is treated simply by setting the P mode with minimal settings, exposure +0.7; +1.0; +1.3. On the other hand, if you want to take pictures on the machine, it’s better to take a more expensive soap dish in the region of 13 thousand. An 18-55 whale lens will not be enough, you grow out of it quickly enough. The battery lasts for about 700 shots. By the way, there is a built-in help for functions.

Pros
  • The ratio of price and quality of equipment and photographs at the output are adequate. Assembled well. For a year of average use, nothing creaked or fell off. Good video quality. Pictures are sharp. Up to ISO 800, there is practically no noise. Rotary display. (Sometimes I wish it was touch)
Cons
  • When shooting video, autofocus is audible very well. Very slow in Live View The viewfinder is a bit dark, it is especially felt at night, it is difficult to focus, although the object is seen well with the eye. (I have not tried it on others, most likely they have a similar problem)

I am very pleased, I shoot both photos and videos. A very durable camera for little money.
