They are very suitable for protecting our helmets. However, if you want to route the cable through a hole on a full-face helmet, only one helmet will fit per lock. I will be threading the cable through the metal rings that secure the chin straps on both my and my son's helmets, allowing me to secure two helmets with just one cable lock. I finally gave the second cable lock to a friend who also rides a bike. Thinking about buying another set of 2 to use as gun locks (as suggested by another buyer). Great product, used all summer (over 3000 miles) without the slightest problem. Definitely recommend for those looking for an easy and inexpensive way to attach a helmet to a bike.
