I really wanted to like this product. But when I downloaded the software to my second Windows 7 laptop (the first one, which is almost identical), the drivers for both the USB inputs and the touchpad stopped (meaning the cursor got stuck). You can imagine how difficult it is to work on a laptop where you cannot move the cursor. I've been working with Creative Support for a few days and after several attempts to repair Windows 7, the software installation kept repeating the same problem. Support refused and said it was my computer. Finally, the recovery disk won't fix the stuck cursor issue, when I shut down and restart it freezes again. I ended up having to do a factory reset which took a few days to download and reinstall all of my music DAWs and virtual instrument software. But the last straw was that from day one I had trouble getting the device to "boot". It has a button on the front that lights up and you press it with your fingertip. It got worse and worse every day until it took 20-30 tries for it to turn on. I always thought there was some kind of "trick" to get it to turn on. It wasn't just that the light wasn't on when I checked the computer and it said the device couldn't be found. I could only guess that the button contact was not connected, but pressing harder didn't help. It just looks cheap and looks like it will fail sooner or later (just my opinion). And the last thing I want to do is worry about a device that costs so much not starting. So I reluctantly gave up and returned it. Like I said, very bad because it's a smart design.
