Got this to try to connect studio quality headphones with 5.1 Dolby Digital but it doesn't really work for PC. Dolby Digital does not work with PC on X7 over optical audio (indicated by non-illuminated "Dolby Digital" LED). For some reason it works over an optical cable when connected to a console (Xbox). I'm also trying to run a DT 1990 Pro at 250 ohms. This should be supported, but there are crackles/pops every 20 seconds or so, suggesting it can't control them properly.

is SHIT! overpriced, NOT VOLUME! it just mimics what you have in your front channel speakers for the rest of you, so you end up hearing people on all channels talking! crap menu! it has way less power/sound than a good $150 PCI SOUND CARD! And installing on Windows 10 is an absolute nightmare! I spent 4 hours on the forums trying to figure out why a $300 sound card isn't even recognized by Windows.

I really wanted to like this product. But when I downloaded the software to my second Windows 7 laptop (the first one, which is almost identical), the drivers for both the USB inputs and the touchpad stopped (meaning the cursor got stuck). You can imagine how difficult it is to work on a laptop where you cannot move the cursor.
