Soft, warm, big but not too big. I ordered a large plaid in watermelon. I was afraid it might be too red for my coral sweater. Instead, it's more of a dusty coral or apricot. It looks great with my dark gray sweater and pewter coat. This is acceptable with my coral, blush, and light gray sweaters. It even fits my dog (who needs a lot of grooming I know)
