An original, user-friendly solution to a car nightmare

I drive a 2003 Ford Ranger 2.3L which I use every day and am the only vehicle. I repair and service 100% and when I recently changed my oil I accidentally twisted the oil drain plug. I didn't notice this until I tightened the screw and instead it began to loosen. This truck has an aluminum oil pan that is bolted to the engine and transmission and requires the engine to be removed to replace. Not having the equipment to do it myself I was looking at a repair bill of at least $500-1000 and eternal shame for my careless mistake. Desperate for a solution, I found the Eco-Plug and ordered it. After removing the old spark plug, the damage was confirmed by the flashing of a stripped thread in the drained oil pan. However, I had some concerns because the original plug was only 12 or 13mm and quite long. In contrast, the Eco-Plug cone was designed to fit a 12-16mm drain hole, meaning most of the threads cannot be screwed into the hole. I called Eco-Plug customer service at 4pm on Saturday and they did it right away. The guy I spoke to confirmed that this plug would be the best solution for my truck, so I went ahead and installed it (less than 5 minutes). This plug has threads precoated with Expand-o-Seal green epoxy that is tightened to activate. After waiting a few hours for the sealant to set, I filled the truck with oil and drove it about 1,000 miles without a single leak. This product is amazing, be sure to try it and save tons of money and time.
