This is a quality tool made from aluminium. It feels good in the hand and is well balanced. CONS: Why such a quality product uses a cheap piece of molded plastic as a stop. It's pretty obvious why they're broken. The packaging is good except that the blade is boxed in an open cardboard lid presumably to allow movement of the blade and not to put pressure on the plastic stopper. However, the box itself is fitted almost and precisely so that in transit each time the box is placed on its edge it pushes the end of the box towards the knife. Eventually the box softens and the cardboard end guard does nothing because the blade it protects is in free contact with the outer box and is being pushed around. Cracked plastic cap on the other end. I'm going to use a box to store it and put tape on each end to keep the blade from sticking out of the box. Update 15-Jan-21: The manufacturer contacted me and replaced the broken plastic connector. I was also informed that the packaging has changed and I can get the old packaging. Of course, I can only test this if another article is bought. However, I can assure you that this company cares 100 percent about the quality of their products. Excellent customer service
