Bought because I specifically wanted a tripod that could work both horizontally and vertically. It does exactly that, it's not the cheapest tripod I've been able to find on Revain (slightly above the cheapest) nor the most expensive (there are others that cost a lot more). It works great for what I use (imagine my hands painting from above). I don't give it 5 stars because when I first got it the part that attaches directly to the moving bar that then holds the base that holds the camera didn't fit the best. The screw was tightened with a plastic piece rather than a metal nut inside, which didn't provide a sufficiently tight fit. I had to grind the plastic piece on a lathe to fit the screw into the metal nut. After this change it works fine. Haven't used it extensively, about once a week for four hours for over a month or so, but so far so good.
