This tool is available from different manufacturers and in many designs. I chose this one because it included a Toyota 29mm adapter and a few others. No, it won't break, fall apart and fall apart. This is a heavy duty, heavy duty tool that can easily remove the inner tie rod with 1/2 turn. The 1/2" drive connector is a snug fit with no play. AN IMPACT WRENCH IS NOT REQUIRED and its use is not recommended by the manufacturer. During installation, increasing the torque to 60 ft-lbs was just as easy. I have no problem with it the locking mechanism, I recommend lubricating it before use as it is so easy to fit onto adapters Grease/oil and is immaterial to the function of the tool.
